Re: what is the quickest way to control BP
This info is perfect timing for me, Hv. Due to a snafu by the pharmacy, my prescript expired [by ONE day] before I got into the pharmacy to refill my last 30 bp pills. Can't get back to the doc for a month, SO I'll be totally off the bp pills, atenolol, for a month. Then I thought this might be a blessing in disguise! My bp was never THAT high anyhow. It just happened that ONE DAY when I went to the doc a few years back, when they took the bp, the lower number hit 100 for some reason and they flipped out and next thing ya know I'm on bp pills. I stayed on them mainly because my heart would beat fast sometimes and it helped that. Maybe I can STAY OFF the atenolol!!
Well, that was three days ago. I'm taking my bp every morning to see what happens. Was on the lowest dose of atenolol, 25mg. I have had several 'episodes' where my heart beat faster when I was exerting myself [I'm not talking about jogging or anything, just taking care of my farm and garden and such], BUT it went down to normal again without any drugs! Plus I'm taking lots of good stuff like the yucca, ashwagandha, magnesium, etc. so this will be a good experiment!
I think my heart gets going because I'm just too darn fat and also because my low adrenals make keep me in 'stress mode' most of the time.....irritable, edgy, frustrated, etc. Takes everything in me to keep it in check. But I digress. Good info, Hv, as always!
