OK, he's gone for a while again.

Sorry for the conflicting statement, it is really stressful to write "raw", not daring to save any drafts on any computer or USB stick he might gain access to. I clean my browsing history every time I have looked at this site.

His staying oppressively close physically is quite a new behavior, and the first thing I consider a serious warning sign safety-wise. It is also the reason why I am in the process of changing all those of my passwords that lead to resources I can not afford him to foul up for me, should he turn really nasty.

I am not in the US. I have all the hotline numbers for this region at home, but thankfully many of them are posted online as well.
