OK! I just ordered from Mountain Rose.
So I'll be ready to tincture this coming June 22, when the moon is dark.   Doesn't that sound creepy? Great Pumpkin and ghost stories and all? I'm a Christian, so the whole moon thing is pretty over the top for me, but I respect the traditions of Herbalists Past, so I do it for them. Kinda like Texas AM Aggie men always take a date to the football games so in case the Aggies score a touchdown, the men are supposed to kiss a girl. lol Doesn't happen all that often, but a guy has to be ready, just in case... It's a time-honored tradition.

The angustifolia is supposed to be stronger, so I'm not sure why we're using half purpurea, but I will try this mix. I bet Uny has the answer to that one.

I intend to tincture it with my favorite booze, Cheapenov Vodka, 100 proof. Same brand Uny and I use!

Wings, from your experience, how many 1/4 cups in a pound of dried Echinacea root, as received from Mountain Rose? Ummm... a lot? Lemme get my bags out, measure the herbs out, and give you an approximate estimate later this afternoon, OK?

The horseradish roots I buried way out in back are sending up lots of leaves, so we should be sitting pretty come fall! Awesome! Hey, what do you think about sharing some of your gardening expertise with the Forum Folk?
