Is Colonic Irrigation "Dr. Feelgood quackery"?

Hello. Recently I have been doing several things to try and better my health. First it was a master cleanse with colon cleanse (Cleanse Smart by Renew Life), then a Dr. Clark parasite cleanse, then started colonic irrigation. The first CI seemed to go ok. Got quite a bit of stuff out, including old fecal matter. However, the second one was partially a different story. There was still a lot of stuff coming out, but, after the CI, I was bloted and had gas for 2 days. My colon was also tender. A friend of mine had gone also and had the same experience. The machine I used the second time was a different machine than the one I used the first time. Does this sound like a case of contamination?

I just came across an article discussing what they call the truth about Colonic Irrigation. It does make a lot of sense, though. Any feedback and information refuting this would be greatly appreciated? I am tempted to "throw in the towell" on the CI stuff. It may be a complete waste of money.

Todd
