Re: Hard to find antiprotozoal meds

The reason Jackie doesn't publish the protocol is because it keeps changing as the clinic perfects it and she doesn't want the older, less effective protocols out there. I donated to her website and she very quickly responded to my e-mail. She has been extremely busy so she gets to the e-mails from non-donors as she has time. So, with the understanding that someone reading this 2 years from now could be getting an old, outdated protocol, I will post the current protocol. This became the current protocol a couple of months ago and is more effective and better tolerated than the older protocols:

Secnidazole 400 mg 1 cap 3x/day
Diloxanide Furoate 500 mg 1 cap 3x/day
Septrin DS 1 tablet 2x/day

I talked to the nurse at the clinic who told me this current protocol is 85-88% effective. They call it their "First Line Treatment Protocol for Resistant Blastocystis Hominis Infection". I assume if it doesn't work, they have a "second line treatment". You need to avoid drinking alcohol during the treatment. The medications are likely to cause nausea and it's OK to take anti-nausea medications as well. The Diloxanide is not available in Mexico so if you are ordering online rather than working with a doctor, you will have to order the older protocol. Numerous people have ordered the older protocol from medsmex.com.

If you want to do the current protocol, you will need to get your doctor to work with you so you can order the drugs from the Australian clinic (your doctor has to send them your pathology report (stool test), a prescription for the meds and a letter stating he will monitor you during treatment). The only one of the current drugs available in the USA is Septrin DS. The other 2 would have to be ordered from the clinic.
