best natural water i ever had was a stream running down a cut on the north side of the alaska range at about the 5000-5500ft level. it came out of the mountain, ran about 300 yards, and then back in the mountain. that was it. it was so clean it cleaned the rocks it ran over and made them look polished while wet. i didnt have to worry about what was up stream, thats for sure!
