Re: Doctor convince my G/F that the Mirena oisn't the cause of her mood swings.

Dear Desperate Boyfriend,

You should give her the space. You are correct, if you continue to contact her, she will resent you more. I know this from experience. I made my fiance move out of my house in March. The more he would "hound me" the more I resented him. He finally backed off the last couple weeks and I have had some moments where I really wanted to talk to him and actually spent some time with him this evening. Give her the space. As the saying goes, if it was meant to be, it will be. I know this is hard, but you have to move forward from here. Do not stop living. I felt much better knowing that my fiance was doing things. It took a lot of guilt off my shoulders if he was being active and not just sitting around moping about the situation. As her stressors lessen, she will feel better. I have had my Mirena out for 1 month tomorrow. I have felt good for the last week, but I have been going to counseling and began acupunture last week. I am not convinced my situation was totally Mirena related as I also had a great deal of stressors, but it did not hurt to have it out, just in case. Hope you can find peace.
