Thanks for the reply Wnadjmom, but she didn't have it removed. The Dr convinced her not to.

And has we don't live together, there isn't much I can do now she has decided that she needs to be alone.

It's odd, but during the call yesterday, she even said that she isn't looking forward to being alone but she currently wants is to be at home, alone and anti-social.
