Re: Doctor convince my G/F that the Mirena oisn't the cause of her mood swings.

Sounds like how I felt last week, but I did snap out of it for now. I work with the public and it is so hard to push through and keep going, but it helps to keep thoughts away from the negative. Does she have any girlfriends she is close to and could talk to? Maybe you could give them a call and ask them to help. Sometimes we women need our girls instead of our guys. No offense to you, just a woman thing. If she is really depressed, maybe she could get in to see a Dr. sooner. It's not fair that she should suffer any longer than possible. You may want to do a little checking on St. Johns Wort (herb) and chamomile tea. I've read it is good for our mood swings and over all well being. Just a thought.
Has she been looking here herself? I can tell you it has helped me a whole lot knowing that there are others experiencing the same side effects as me. I don't feel so alone and insane with all of this. Best wishes.
Also, I think my Dr. said the winning sentence. She said to me "If it's affecting the quality of your life you should take it out. Never know until we do". Best decision for me personally. I think if your gal reads thru these posts enough she will agree. These days we all need to take control of our own healthcare decisions. After all, It's our bodies trying to tell us something, our Drs. have no clue how we feel.
