I did know that Uny had been working with Anne for about a year and did know a little of her history, but I had know idea of the battle she was up against (insert PTB rant here).
One thing I learned from this exchange is often the symptoms you see aren't the real problem. I am NOT familiar with pharma drugs and withdrawal symptoms. Praise God for Uny's knowledge there. I saw Anne's flightiness and was addressing it. The good news here is that Anne was able to share a few more things about her life, which helped Uny to coach Anne even more specifically. So rather than back off and start from the beginning, Uny's approach is to press in and do the full program.
Aaaah! Padewan Lahnah much imp'essed wid Jin mentah!
Now, to Anne 33:
YOU CAN DO THIS! Listen- I've got quite a battle raging on my home front, too. Gosh, there are SO many things that can get out bodies in bad shape. Addictions, PTB or religious conditioning, stressful relationships and jobs, undisciplined lifestyles... We can't change how other people are, but we can sure change ourselves, can't we? We can say "THIS IS THE DAY!!!"
I love heroes. One of my favorites is William Travis, who commanded the little band of brave men who fought and died for Texas Independence at the Alamo. He drew a line in the dirt with his sword, indicating the two sides to choose. His men had a choice: go home to be with your family and become slaves to Santa Anna and the Mexican Government, or fight for freedom at the risk of your own life. About 300 men crossed that line to join Travis, knowing the odds were 200:1. Texas wouldn't be Texas if those men hadn't fought the Battle of the Alamo.
Anne, you've got it. Down in there, buried under all the benzos and congested liver, is one heck of a Heroine. You need to grab on to that one and claim it. You put those hands of yours on that plow, and you don't look back, hear me? You've got a story to tell later if you don't give up on yourself. Look in the mirror every morning and say out loud, "I am a HEROINE!!!"
I'm a musician. I think musically. As I was reading Uny's FANTASTIC response to you, I was humming this song. This is one of my Power Girl songs (Power Girl Song- a song by a female artist designed to send an empowering message to girls or women. When I feel like giving up, I put music like this on and it just lifts my spirits and gives me some backbone).
