Hi Healing,
Well supposedly Winter solstice 2012 will mark some sort of turning point for humanity. Some people say it's gonna be the dawn of a new age of compassion. Some people say it's gonna be mostly about different races and nationalities feeling unified again. Some people even say humankind will physically evolve including the possibility of gaining some level of telepathy.

The interesting thing to me is that, unlike all other end-of-the-world prophecies that have come and gone uneventfully, this one seems to be backed by a really diverse array of supporting prophecies and events including but not limited to:
The end of the Mayan Calendar (derived over 1400 years ago)
The Hopis (cobwebs in the air)
Terence McKennas Timewave formula (based on the I Ching)
The Tibetan Kalachakra
Geological Magnetic shifts forecasted in the Earth sometime soon
The Venus Transit's Followup in 2012
The Sunspot Maximum coming in 2012
The Alignment of our Solar system's plane with the Galaxy in 2012

Many people also think they're experiencing signs which are claimed to be involved with 2012 such as more poignant or more frequent coincidences, synchronicities, deja vu etc.
