Re: rh negative blood type and pregnancy
guess i want to offer an opposing view from someone who did not get the shot following an abortion in my early twenties. now i am in my early 30's and recently lost a baby boy in second trimester because of extrodainarily high levels of antibodies that made him so sick he could not handle a blood transfusion. i was induced into labor, and delivered him.
i didn't know anything about this when i had the abortion, and it was a fluke that i didn't get the shot.
but, i'd rather have gotten the shot then be going through this now.
i think the odds are quite low that something could happen because of the rhogam shot, but i respect anyone who refuses it...still, the risks of having to go through this are really not worth it in my opinion.
i'm not even sure i will be able to have a baby at all at this point, and am seeking alternative medicine to help me with this.
best of luck...
