Re: Can oral magnesium supplemenation stimulate candida growth?

Although the scientific research suggests oral magnesium supplementation may create problems for people suffering from candida, what really surprises me is that there isn't more anecdotal evidence of this happening (candida symptoms worsening). I mean it is pretty common knowledge that candida sufferers are low in magnesium, so I would think many would have tried taking supplements, yet a search of candida discussion groups does not reveal many people reporting problems.

I would love to hear from people who have taken significant magnesium supplements willing to share their observations. My guess is there are a lot of people taking magnesium who do not notice any worsening of candida symptoms. Am I right?

My purpose of this thread is not to convince people not to take magnesium, but to ascertain how much of a risk it is, primarily so that I can take this into account in my own use of this important mineral. Maybe some magnesium salts are more problematic than others.
