Re: Come on Already

I had typed this out after I had gotten home from a gathering where somebody really went off on another person. It was totally ridiculous. My boyfriend told me that I over-reacted... LOL. I just walked off toward the property line to get away from the idiocy. It wasn't like I was huffing and puffing as I went, more like, "hey, what's going on over here?" Anyway, I asked that we leave shortly thereafter because that type of environment (conflict - especially overblown conflict) makes me tense right up. I would rather be in a quiet area, a peaceful place. I don't really like loudness or noise very much except for thunderstorms or heavy winds, and ranting from an individual that has a muted intellectual source to start with, then gets drunk, is the very worst.

I've noticed this type of unfounded anger everywhere... messages posted on these forums have gotten more and more confrontational of late. People seem to be losing an awareness of the threshhold that seperates reasonable disagreement from violent verbal (or physical) attacks - maybe I am just "too sensitive" and expect too much from people.

But, on a personal level, I have been exhausted lately (probably partially caused by the way I react to conflict). I have been sleeping a lot, and I am always tired. I am starting to think this has some physical causes, but I do feel that much of it is my emotional need for a "peaceful" environment. Sleep gives me that quiet time I so desperately need.

It's very interesting to read that others are feeling similar things. LOL. I just had a flash of thought come to me. There have been some pretty hellacious storms whipping up around the midwest. I wonder if people are reacting a bit to the weather changes. Kind of like seasonal affective disorder (SAD) can cause Depression in some people when the weather is overcast day in/day out. I wonder if other people lash out during periods where there are stormy weather influences? Well, it was just a funny thought, but I had to share it.

Cheers all:)
Here's to better days.
