Gracey - hugs
Gracey
I sincerely hope you don't take this wrong, but I just felt compelled to say it. I view astrology as a reference tool for energy patterns. When we're born, we enter in on a certain energy flow which we can either ride, making our decisions and choices in harmony with, or we can buck and go crosswise or even upstream against. We have the power and the ability to do what we choose. It is just so much less energy draining to recognize the patterns and flow with our energy instead of fighting against it.
With that outlook, things like past life connections and karmic debt settle into the stream for me. I don't worry about them, I just note the similarities and pay attention to the lesson/message and keep going. I don't worry about "were we supposed to karmically meet" or not, if we were, we did - what did we share/learn? If we haven't yet, we will. At no point have I ever read of felt like karmic or past life connections equate to lifetime connections this go around. From what I've seen and experienced, most such connections do tend to be temporary: unfinished business, just checking in, triggering or remembering certain past lessons, just hundreds of reasons. Sometimes I'm the student, sometimes the teacher, often times both. Many times I've run across someone at the right place at the right time simply to reaffirm something and never see them again. Were we karmically fated to meet? Who knows, but it worked out as it should, so, does it really matter if our star energy pre-ordained it or not?
"Why did all that stuff happen? He was so evil, I just don't know what the point of it all was." Perhaps the whole point was to learn to recognize what you need and choose to have in your life, and to learn that you are strong enough and worth enough to carry on without all that excess garbage. "What else could you do?" Well, he's long gone right? Maybe the lesson here is to just pay attention to what the relationship taught you, be grateful for the lessons, take them to heart, and move forward. Don't spend so much energy worrying about whether or not the past was fated or karmic or just our own stubborness - we can't go back 5 seconds, let alone 5 months or 5 years. The more energy we spend on what has happened and we can't change, the less we have to make the positive growth and changes ahead of us. =)
