Update:

Rico just had another check up.

The vet said that everything is looking good. The ear canals are better than he has ever seen, and Rico's hearing seems to have fully recovered.

The next check up is scheduled for 2 months from now. Rico has never gone that long without an ear infection, so we are on new ground here.

Needles to say, we are very pleased with this, and are expecting no problems in the future.
