Re: Still a virgin, never had a boyfriend

In my experience, I didn't find virginity such a special thing. I think it has been hyped up through movies and religion and history, mostly because of the consequences that can result from sex, (pregnancy), and of how the man didn't want a woman to be 'used' goods, or how the man wanted to be the 'one' to teach the girl the 'wonders' of sex.

My first time was real boring as I imagine most woman's are, as it is unlikely that you are going to orgasm or really get the ultimate pleasure out of it. I think of it as having gotten it out of the way so I could move on and learn more. I am not saying to go with any man, but I don't think that the 'love of your life' is needed to lose your virginity. That is probably what hurts a lot of girls when they get dumped the most, is because they gave their virginity to that one, and then they feel truly backstabbed when he doesn't want them anymore.

For me, just liking the man, finding him physically attractive, and judging that he is not the kind of man that would physically take advantage of me was enough. And always have your own condoms on you, cause EVERY man I have been with try and noodle out of having to wear one. You'll get every excuse from, 'It doesn't feel as good' to 'I am unable to get a woman pregnant' to 'One time without won't matter'. Just ignore that gibberish and tell them no sex without it.

I am glad I had sex when I was sixteen. It is a time I am glad that I didn't miss out on. It is the only time in life where you get together sexually with another teenager, unless you really go for younger men when you get older. It was fun.

Do you have a picture in your mind of what you want your first time to be? If you do, it will be hard to get the picture to come to life. Whenever you decide to do it, though, it should be because you are comfortable doing it, and not feeling forced.
