I want to try removing the adenoids first to see if that could solve the problem, but the two doctors I've been to seem to want to do all or nothing. I was wondering if you had enlarged tonsils in addition to your large adenoids? The doctors say that they usually go hand in hand. I have asked the doctor if my son had polyps and he said no. But, they have only shined a light up his nose. Should they have checked for polyps some other way? Because a lady I spoke to said that they put this thing up her nose to find them. Also, did you only have problems breathing when laying down or also sitting up. His problem seems to be mostly while laying down.
I think God put your tonsils and adenoids in your body for a purpose and are not just there for the fun of it, and I'm not going to remove them until I find that there is no other way to solve the problem. Even the allergist agreed with me. He said he would do the exact same thing. There's one "professional" opinion that should count for something.
