Thanks for responding. Actually, I just made the appointment yesterday for the pulmonary doctor and sleep study. I have been looking for a doctor who will do a technique called PITA (Powered Intracapsular Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy) developed by Dr. Koltai in California. His office referred me to a doctor here on the east coast.

This technique removes part of the tonsils and has reduced bleeding and preserves some of the benefits of the tonsils.

I have been trying to get a question on Moritz's site.
