Help! Can't Breathe! Bad sinus problems

PLEASE help me!!! I haven't been able to breathe out of my nose for the past year and I can't take it anymore. It started when I was pregnant a year ago. My nose was so stuffed up that it hurt when I layed down. The ENT prescribed nasonex, flonase and something else along those lines and nothing worked so I ended up taking Afrin. I didn't want to do that but the uncomfortablness of preganancy and not being able to breathe was just too much for me. Well I was on Afrin for 8 months and went off of it cold turkey about 4 months ago. I still can't breathe even though I'm off of Afrin and no longer pregnant.

During the day I can breathe a little out of my nose (not everyday though) and at night I can't breathe and have to sleep in a chair because of sinus pressure. I've been sleeping in a chair almost every night for the past 4 months.

I've been using a neti pot with saline water everyday but it hasn't helped. Any suggestions?

I have another ENT appointment in about three weeks and I think he wants to give me a shot of cortisone (or something) right into my nose! I'm totally nervous about that!

Please help me. What has worked for you? I'm desperate.
Oh, I forgot, I've had constant post nasal drip for the last 14 years but I've always been able to breathe.
