anxiety all night with taking Iodine !

Upon having severe adrenal exhaustion, I have been taking my morning basal temps too, finding them to be very low,
between ( 95.9-97.6) for the past two weks now.
I probably should have had more testing done first and seen a dr. first,
but, I decided to self medicate. I took some Iosol's Iodine today ( just the one drop in water)
and as the evening progressed, Ive' been feeling hot and having increased anxiety and now it's 2:30am and still can't sleep.
Do you think the Iodine is to much for the thyroid, as my weak adrenals can't take the stress even on the thyroid now? Has anyone else had this happen, when treating the thyroid with any meds, associated with adrenal fatigue?
