I agree with the ladies, who have replied, get it out as soon as you can. I had mine during the most difficult time in my marriage where we were going to divorce, and I wish I had gotten it out. I would have been able to handle the stress much better than I did. I was put on Zoloft, during this period and in retrospect, don't think I would have needed it if I had not had the Mirena. You may handle the custody battle better without Mirena (but everyone is different, can't promise, sorry:-).
I have had mine removed since Friday, and I already feel clear headed and am not forgetting as much as I did with Mirena. Each day gets better and better, not perfect, but even the lows are better than they were last week.
