Re: Point was there IS objective truth in all matters
faithful, faithfully, or faithfulness seems to prevail in the Old Testament... and appears in the New Testament as well. In some passages, God is referenced as being faithful, etc.
Terms, such as faithless are used to illustrate examples in the negative.
in this context, it is we, that must abide by God's (natural, absolute) Laws, having "faith" in them. As I stated earlier, one could do this without ever knowing a thing about "religion" as they are absolutes... the way of things.
in this context, the reference to one's faith in the positive or negative is their ability to be faithful to God's Laws.
A faith in "God" would also be a faith in these laws; simple as that IMO.
So, when one runs into a passage such as "O ye of little faith", this could be used to illustrate the individuals inability, or lack of desire (man's laws are so much more fun) to live by God's Laws... Indeed, when we run into things like not having or having "faith" in the Lord or what have you, again... our willingness and ability to trust in man's laws conflicts and supersedes our faith in God's Laws and we then suffer the consequences.
"Your faith has made you well" IMO, is reference to one who, like those of us who are sick and diseased, recognizes God's Laws through whatever means, and then moves away from man's laws and finds themselves miraculously getting well.
Faith is a responsibility and trust in God's Laws as being the truth.
this passage may illustrate my point...
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Try not to over think the passage... Keep it simple...
