Re: Point was there IS objective truth in all matters
if you want to put it that way... yes.
Using a bit of scripture to illustrate the point...
Mark 10:14
Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
It is we who "forbid" them... we could learn a lot from a child... if they have not yet been corrupted by the way we would raise them.
My dad would tell me not to lie, and then call me a child to get the deal at Disneyland or a restaurant... his actions spoke louder to me than his words... what was he teaching? Confusion? Or, it is okay to lie when the advantage is yours?
I am sure you can see how it works...
I have seen kids in the midst of evil (charity work I do) resist temptation and rise above it all when given the love and attention they need to know that THEY MATTER and CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
These kids have taught me more than I would like to admit...
Luke 15:4
What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
Matthew 18:3
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Converted here is NOT a reference to "religion", this is a reference to be as a child, innocent\free of the evil teachings of man.
