I agree that it can be overdone, and there are people who hurt themselves by overdoing it. Moderation is definitely a good thing to live by.
Yes, it's great that we keep burning even afterward. That's why I want to build muscles also, because not only do they look good, they burn even more calories throughout the day.
The first few days I exercised, I barely made it through the programs, and my stomach felt like it had been kicked. It is so easy to get out of shape, and you really can tell when you try to exercise the way you used to and find out that you are huffing and puffing after you've barely gotten started.
I am in the US, and I've watched that show a few times. The female trainer can get pretty tough with them, lol. I always love to see success stories, especially before and after pictures.
