Re: Avoiding the Yo Yo Effect After Fast...Your Thoughts
Oprah has lots of money and can afford to outfit herself at whatever her weight.
I had put on excess weight due to a career change and as I have lost weight I donate the larger size clothes as soon as I'm out of that size.
If the junk / processed food is not purchased, it's not readily available to eat. I go to the grocery/farmers market 2x a week because I like to juice, make salads, etc. I stay away from chicken and pork, very rarely have beef but I do like seafood - especially salmon. I do my best to eat as close to the source as possible with fruits, vegs, grains, coconut or olive oil, etc. When I'm on the go, I'll typically have water with me and some Lara Bars.
I tend to people watch so I observe people that are overweight and how their clothes are fitting them, their walk, how they breathe as they are hurrying about and what foods they have with them. 250 pound people guzzling a
quart of Diet Coke.
It's sad, startling and thought provoking. If people only knew how incredibly easy it was to address their weight and health concerns.
So that's a little insight as to what keeps me on track when not fasting.
