I am not the only moderator who thinks along the lines that I do, and where if I personally witness a post that is abusive towards another member/s, I would need to step in and try to act impartially and fairly to all concerned.

A consensus of opinion doesn't necessarily turn us into bullies, only observers and commentators on what has already occurred.

In addition, I do not see my position of moderator as being in a position of "power" as you call it, but more in the way of ensuring a smooth running of the forum with conformity to the TOS and the rules as laid down by the webmaster.
