Re: Day 17, a few slight changes

I'm not jumping into this argument at all and also I have no pre-conceived opinions on the subject of speeding up your metabolism with exercise, just wanted to let you all know that.

I just have a question, my friend who was tiny to begin with hired a personal trainer to gain strength, not to lose weight. He came to her house everyday for 6 weeks and taught her how to work out, he investigated what she was eating to make sure it was healthy and he made no changes there, she has been eating healthy for years. She is now looking like walking bones covered with skin, but she is strong. She tells me she is still losing weight because she is exercising and her metabolism has speeded up so that when she is home vegged out doing nothing she is still burning fat. I'm worried about her because she is only 98lbs now and no, she doesn't now and never has had an eating disorder, just wanted to state that, she eats very healthy and has been on me for years to clean up my diet.

I am wondering if in my case weighing 155lbs if it would work like that for me also? I'm fasting right now almost at the end of day 8 and I have to break it due to having a job coming up that I won't be able to handle while fasting. After I refeed properly could I start exercising enough to speed up my metabolism and lose the rest of my weight that way? If so how much exercise would that take and what kind? I would have her show me but she lives in Texas now.

I see that this theory didn't help golthing to lose weight, but then maybe that was due to a medical condition. I will fast again after the new year just to complete the detox, but in the meantime I would love to speed up my metabolism through exercise so that I will lose fat.

Thanks.

LB
