mmm, Chris, yes, i think the longer fast really does have a positive impact on lifestyle choices that tend to 'stick'. Mouseclick *is* a good example.



my own experience is that the longer fast brought me to a place of really craving fruits in a way I hadn't before. I liked them a lot, but now, when I go shopping, fruits are what i look at first. then vegetables. Those two look like REAL food, and almost everything else looks like it only exists for "pleasure".

i really have to learn to makes some good bread--as that is one desire that has not fallen away, and the artisan bread with whole grains etc. is pretty expensive.
I *do* make a very good barley bread, which is dense and lovely with soup...
do you make your own bread?
