Re: Glutathione and Lyme disease (and mercury)
I was taking the doses of L-cysteine in the "Clark Cleanup" for tapeworm/ascaris- she says to not take it any longer than 3 weeks:
//www.curezone.org/clark/ascaris.asp
The NAC I happened to buy off of
http://www.iherb.com
has extra stuff in it that I have since found out are also good for the liver detox. (Nutricology)
N-acetyl-L-cysteine (cysteine is needed)
Trimethylglycine (glycine is needed)
Ribonucleic Acid, and Alpha-Lipoic Acid
It says on the bottle that it is: An enhanced antioxidant formula containing amino acids, nucleic acid, and lipoic acid that acts as a powerful antioxidant and support glutathione production.
Someplace...I'll have to see if I am remembering right, getting too much in the way of antioxidants doesn't change the homocysteines (free radicals) as it should, it adds to them...I'll try to find out what it was I think I'm remembering...don't quote me. Vitamin C is one you'll read helps with the free radicals in the Phase 1 too.
Taurine- I have the Life Extension powder, 1/4 tsp is 750 mg.
Glutamine- Also Life Extension powder, 1/2 tsp is 1.95 grams.
I add them, and the vitamin C powder, to the whey protein/amino acid supplement once a day.
I also take the NAG, which is a form of glutamine too.
The Livatone Plus doesn't have the amounts on it of how much of each of the amino acids are in her formula- I'd like to know.
I read in her stuff someplace, that the desired amount per day of milk thistle (silimarin) is 430 mg.
I would guess that most of the problems are with the phase 1 working quickly, and phase 2 working slowly.
I've found other liver detox products with most of this same stuff in it- all in all, the Livatone has the vitamins/minerals needed too...but I don't see magnesium on there, and I think that's one most of us are lacking too. I had been taking magnesium orotate, and I just got the one the Dr has in his office, which is a better quality mag. malate than what I had tried (that didn't assimilate- it went through me whole)
