Re: Seroquel patients? Any Drug Induced Psychosis sufferers? Any other types of medications?

i am writing this response because my brother whois 21 was diagnosed with tourette's and ocd for 14 years was recently diagnosed with schizophrenia due to event of psychosis where he began to hear voices. He had been on geodon for five years but only began to hear the voices when his psychiatrist titrated his doses from 40mg X 2 to 60mg, then 80mg twice a day. with the increased dosages we began to notice the psychotic episodes increasing. We reported this to his doctor and she placed him on respiredal(even though we explained to her that his last reation to this med made his angry and aggressive). Less than a week later, he attempt to attack my sister as she slept because of his hallucinations.He was then hospitalized and diagnosed with schizophrenia.

He was placed on seroquel 400mg for the past three weeks and he is more psychotic than ever, so please tell me that this niacin will help. He has to live with me now and can no longer go home until these episodes decrease or go away all together... Tweet
