Re: Iodine as mercury chelator
Hi HH,
I've had chronic fatigue since around 1984, when I had a disastrous kidney
infection after which I never really felt the same as prior. This is what
you might term chronic! In those days no one knew much if anything about
the root cause of chronic fatigue. In 1987 someone (can't recall who)
referred me to one of the pioneers of mercury
Amalgam removal, Dr. Fred
Acquaviva, a wholistic dentist in my area. I had my 14
Amalgams removed
according to strict protocol, in 4 quadrants, over the course of 4-5
months, in 1987-88. Dr. A. was convinced I had candida and that my
health problems were caused by my mercury amalgams. What did not happen
after that time was chelation. He did not inform me I needed it, and I'm
not sure it was known about in those early days. I have been mindful of
my diet since the late 1970s (my first fast was in 1977, suggested by
an acupuncturist, who also had me do coffee enemas). In 1983 I did my
first veggie-juice fast, a 13-day fast on carrot, beet, and cucumber
juice, with a bit of parsley juice. I also did colonics. I felt better
than I had ever felt. So you see I've been at this game a long, long,
LONG time! In the mid-nineties I discovered the Arise and Shine program
for fasting and used their products (e.g., chomper) to do a couple
different lengthy fast (3 weeks long). Then in 2005 I discovered CureZone
and did my first
Liver Flush in summer '05 and several more thru the
years, 7 in all. They did not do much for me, and I always throw up in
the middle of the night; as I do not find that pleasant I am not inspired
to do them very often, especially as they are not as productive as I'd
like. In '06 I did MH's orange juice fast (but started it with the
veggie juices named above for first 16 days)--fasted for the entire 30
days. I also did
coffee enemas before (the sawilson method). In summer
'07 I attempted another 30-day fast but only managed to do 18 days,
partly with
Watermelon juice and the rest with OJ. So am no stranger
to fasting. Glad the
Master-Cleanse cleanses worked for you. I never wanted to do
a
Master-Cleanse cleanse because of the
Sugar in the maple
Sugar and the lemon juice
just seemed a bit too intense. I really do better on the veggie juices
than anything with
Sugar in it (although the
Watermelon juice I find very
easy to fast on). I don't think I'm going to do any fasting for a while.
The most important thing is to get the mercury out of my system and I
may be doing the Cutler technique--am waiting to hear back from an N.D.
any time now. In my case I don't think there's any way it's going to come
out and I'm going to get better till I follow some sort of chelation
program laid out by an expert, to the letter. Last night I slept all of
one hour, I was up all night. So my symptoms seem to be getting worse
instead of better. The past year and a half there has been a marked uptick
in symptoms. Thanks for your response, and the best in your healing
journey!
