Re: Iodine as mercury chelator

Hi Newport,
thanks, I looked at the thread. I had been taking SeMe for some time--just ran
out, but I started when I was actively reading the forum, at the time I
was using Iodine most of last year. I see I gotta get some more. I'd like
to ask you a question: have you heard of the SanPharma products from Germany
for use after chelation with DMSA? I asked this on the Andy Cutler forum but
it's not nearly as active a forum as this one. The doc I saw cost 2 arms
and 2 legs. He is suggesting an 11-month program with these supplements
which are called "unipathic". Here is a link to the article he wrote on
them:
http://www.medical-library.net/content/view/98/41/

I am skeptical on account of the price: he quoted me $2633 for the 11-week
course, which he says is de rigueur after chelating out the heavy
metal load (in my case, mercury--I've seen a wholistic doctor some years
ago about the same thing, but the treatment did not work--DMSA only and
my toxic load came down by 1%--a joke after all that time and expense).
He feels there is no point to the chelation if you do not follow up
with these unipathic supps, which have been used in Germany for 30 yrs. but
are just now (as of the year 2000) being used in the U.S. thanks to the
FDA foot-dragging. I would appreciate any light you could shed on the matter
and your opinion.
thanks as always--
Julie
