Re: Water fasting, and cannot walk, stand up, work. Help!
Hello veganjenny,
low blood pressure (hypotension) has been considered not worthy of treatment within the UK but is so in the rest of Europe. I suffered from low BP for most of my life, but it did not really adversely affect my health in any way, but it depends on your build as to what is the correct BP for you.
On its own, low blood pressure does not always cause symptoms, but if you have low blood pressure, and do not have any symptoms, you do not require treatment. However, sometimes if your blood pressure is too low, there may not be enough blood flowing to your brain, and other vital organs. As a result, you may experience symptoms such as dizziness and fainting.
As well as dizziness and fainting, other symptoms of hypotension may include:
light-headedness,
blurred vision,
palpitations,
confusion,
nausea,
general weakness.

Your BP of 90/70 is not considered to be Low BP........90/60 IS though.
I don't think you have any cause for concern, but it may be advisable to purchase a BP monitor and take your BP on a daily basis (in a resting state at the same time of day) during your fast, to establish the accuracy of just how low/high it really is.
If you report back to us on a daily basis with your readings we will be able to give you more advice.
Your voice change should be of no real cause for concern. The usual cause is of a catarrhal nature, where mucous is being expelled thru the mucous membranes of the throat and nose.
Unfortunately (and with all due respect) although your Mother is a Nurse, she is not qualified to speak on matters of fasting: no professional medic is, as they know very little if anything about its remarkable health-benefits.
In regard to Body-Organs: they just do not collapse while fasting, which is complete nonsense of course............

and there is a definitive demarcation point between fasting and starving, which are as similar as chalk and cheese..................

You are probably wondering how and why we are able to give such authoritative advice on the subject of fasting: I personally have over 30 years experience with the study of the fasting process after taking two prolonged fasts myself, and have studied the literature of Fasting, Nutrition, and Natural Hygiene for that length of time.
There is a wealth of experience here (especially the member Fonty) who I see has already given you some very sound advice with regard to your health situation.
