Re: Adrenal Fatigue and MCS.

Hi, Anon!

The way MCS and adrenal fatigue have worked for me is this: If I do not push myself to tolerate or do more than is optimum for me, I operate in a low-normal energy level. If I suddenly change either to too much more physical activity or suddenly get much more chemical exposure, I have a setback.

During the worst of those setbacks, it takes a while to recover because I cannot tolerate any supplements and am in bed exhausted nauseous and with various other nasty symptoms. I have never and would never want use a cortisone product. I have benefited from various herbs such as ginseng and other Asian and Indian herbs known to generally increase energy, panthenine and pantothenic acid, adrenal extract, and a product by Thorne [Adren Plus, I think] What I use and how much I use varies: none at my very best and worst, and some support when in an in between state.

Research and personal experience have convinced me that the primary problem is with the sensitivity mechanisms and the detoxification systems. When I have attempted to force my body into higher gear with adrenal or thyroid supplements, I have had setbacks as bad or worse than those caused by chemical reactions. Too aggressive attempts to detoxify have also caused me setbacks. This seems to be a case of slow and steady wins.

Hope this helps somewhat.
