Re: Colonix "plus" these 4 things? Or should I wait

That's the million dollar question, and I only know half of the answer, the rest, like all of us afflicted with Candida, you will have to decide for yourself based on the progress you are making. I think you will naturally come to a decision in the future, as you begin to feel better, when the appropriate time is to stop taking antifungals/glutamine. Re the antifungal therapy, some people say 6 weeks if you stick to the cave-man candida diet like glue; others say longer. I think it depends on how sick you are, how well the antifungals and probiotics you are taking actually work to remedy the situation, and for how long you have been sick. Also you have to address things such as heavy metal toxicity and liver congestion--because these are the things that can keep you stuck in the sick cycle. I think you should check out theyeastadvisor.com; you may possibly get some good ideas from that website--it's pretty comprehensive.

I can say that I think taking the proteolytic enzyme should be a "for life," supplement, and I have backup for saying this in the form of articles written about systemic enzymes by Dr. William Wong, who I think really knows what he's talking about. I've listed the article section of his website here and recommend that you look under the "Systemic Enzymes Therapy" section. There's a lot of really good information re our necessity for systemic enzymes and how our need for them increases as we age.

Same with probiotics - I would say that you would do best to supplementing with them daily or mostly daily for a lifetime--just because there are so many things that can stunt or kill our good bacteria--alcohol, too much stress, Antibiotics , changes in intestinal PH, chlorine, illness, etc. I have writen quite a bit about about probiotics and won't repeat all that here, but maybe you could search some of my posts if you have time or want to do so. I posted a good article about probiotics about a week or so back that you may want to read.

Anyway - hope this helps :-)
