I hear you. I am still there. One day it seems like one thing, the other like something else. And to make it even worse, I am totaly used to some of my symptoms so I forget to take them into account when reading about symptoms that some of these things cause.

- No better way to know whether you have a heavy metal problem then testing. As for what type of testing is best, I'd concetrate on two: one is a "challenge test" where you take a certain amount of a chelating agent and then perform a heavy metal test, and the other one is Porphyrin Analysis. I'd do porphyirin first though. Here's a good link about testing:

http://www.beatcfsandfms.org/html/CheckForHg.html

(I just searched the net for what I know works in testing, and found that link)
Keep in mind that neither test will give you a very important bit of info: how much mercury you actually have in your body.
Also, I would try to opt for a different type of chelating agent, perhaps NDF (nano detox factor), as it seems much more gentle and it flushes 90% of bound mercury in the first and/or second urine sample after you take it. NDF I think is also a good chelating agent in general, seems pretty safe. I've used it, but I haven't done any testing so I don't have actualy data to back it up. I've also used it very carefully, only one or two drops per day, followed by tons of water.

Most important rule of chelation: "every detoxification is re-toxification". Meaning - if you start moving your heavy metals from one part of the body, typically they will have to go through your liver, which means they end up in the intestines, and from there they are re-abosorbed into your bloodstream and from there back into tissues and organs. Which means that you are just poisoning yourself doing it. Of couse, some parts of those poisons will go out, but make sure you know what you are doing.

Here's what I've learned that is hard to find out:

- Mercury, after some time, will settle primarilly in glands. Most of all - thyroid. It is very very hard to get it out of there. Taking iodine, in form of "Atomidine" will push the mercury out of the thyroid (and probably adrenals too) and into the bloodstream. If you were to take atomidine for a week, or 10 days, starting with one drop in half a glass of water AM and PM, on empty stomach with no food for at least 30min afterwards, and then increase that to two drops AM and PM on the second day, and then three on the third day, up to about 5-8 drops and then go backwards to one drop twice daily, you would push a lot of mercury out of your glands. And if there are any critters in there, like parasites, they may very well be pushed out too. Then you need to act fast to prevent redistribution of poisons (this will push ALL toxins, not just mercury). And the best and shortest way is through sweat glands. So on the last day, make yourself a very very warm bath, and add about two pounds of Epsom Salt in it. Start with just warm, and dip yourself in it, and then slowly add hot water until it becomes really warm, so that you start sweating. Under water you will sweat the most, and Epsom Salt will relax those sweat glands, and pathways and tons of poisons will come out. You need to be sweating like that for at least half an hour, although I did one hour each time. If you don't have sweat running down your face, you are doing something wrong. And obviously make sure you are completely submerged. Visualising toxins leaching out of your skin is a good thing to do. Don't do anything "fun" or distracting at that time. Most important thing is to relax and enjoy.

After that you will feel very light headed, and thirsty. Take a quick shower to wash off the salt and toxins, and go to bed to relax. Sweating will continue and you should feel much better about an hour to two hours later by which time sweating will stop. Make sure you are warm right after the bath, don't get cold. After all is done, you should feel like a million bucks.

This to me is a certain and fastest way to get poisons out of glands. Glands are the most important parts of our body. I had one incident where probably due to parasites my adrenals shut down for a second. That was the worst and scariest feeling ever (I almost fainted, and it felt like someone just flicked my switch off...). That's why I can say that glands are the most important organs. They are small and not everything is known about them. But their positions correspond perfectly with chakra centers in our body, and their energies are under influence or crystals and even planets in our solar system. We are a little universe and it all goes through our glands.

Maybe they took Iodine without the Epsom Salt bath? that would certainly make the situation worse and after reading my explanation you now know why. Also, in taking iodine, it is not all the same which one you take. I would only take Atomidine from "Heritage products" and nothing else; certainly not Lugols or nascent.

One potential problem with Iodine is that it may scatter parasites as they will be attacked by it. Some micro parasites will develop a different protein layer that protects them from Atomidine, which then makes it harder to hurt them with it... but that's to be expected. Those parasites that are capable of that, will develop different protein leyer to protect themselves from whatever is attacking them.

> does ridding the body of heavy metals go on for some time,
> (I'm sure if there is re-exposure)...

First you have to make sure there is no more re-exposure happening. Take out all Amalgam fillings, check your bath tub integrity if it is made of metal, make sure you don't use aluminum for cooking, get rid of dental bridges, metal posts in root canals etc. But chelation certainly should be slow as your kidneys and/or liver can get overloaded with toxins and we don't want to think what happens then... You DON'T want detox to go fast. Imagine what would happen if you tried to flush tons of concrete, paint and sand down the toilet all at once?

> and is it to be expected that it's going to make you feel like crap??
> That's one of the main reasons for my being hesitant.

No, not necessarily. If you use Atomidine in the way I described and if you use NDF I think that any "feeling like crap" stuff would point to something not being done right. At that point I would reduce the amount of whatever it is I am taking.
Basically you have to make sure that elimination of poisons is faster then chelation. If your chelation is faster then elimination you have a problem.

Parasites are less predictable then heavy metals though. It is hard to know which ones we have, how bad the situation is (load, dissemenation etc) and what they are capable of doing. Hence, Liver Flushes and medications/herbs may not give consistent and predictable results.

> Same with chelation? I'd rather know honestly...
> will it be something that's going to hit you like a hammer at times?

If it does, it's a sign to take an epsom salt bath and slow down.

Also, keep in mind that doing any of this is a quite a stress for your body, which is already weakened, so some things are "musts" before anything:

- Highly alkaline forming foods. Fruits like grapefruits, grapes, pears for breakfast, or Sugar free cereals with organic almond milk. Watch out for those bad food combos: no starches the same day you eat citrus, no fats with starches, no coffee with milk, no citrus after milk products... and no milk products obviously, except for good buttermilk and kefir. Lunch mostly salads with olive oil, keep bread to minimum or skip it all together. No meats except for chicken, turkey, sardines and wild caught salmon. Dinner can be similar but base it more on proteins and cooked/steamed veggies. Remember to stay away from starches like potatoes (except you can eat potato skins and first 1/8" of the potatoe but not much of it anyway), no corn at all, no beans of any kind etc. Mostly green veggies. You can also cook nice veggie soups or chicken soups. Drink PLENTY of water (filtered with reverse osmosis, or store bought good quality water, not just any bottled water! And certainly only from PET, clear plastic if it is bottled), take water sometimes with a bit of lemon in it, especially in the morning (but never with atomidine!), to stimulate bile flow, no Sugar or sweets of any kind regardles of cravings low energy and so on, slow down on vitamin B as it too can overburden the liver (maybe just a pill here and there when you feel a need for it), take vitamin C all through the day, but if taking Atomidine, do not take vitamin C for at least 5 hours after taking Atomidine... Do take selenium and zinc before you start any chelation at all so that it can replace mercury (seleinum should also not be taken immediately after Atomidine, for at least 5 hours)... All in all, it is generaly assumed you know a lot about healthy living and are doing it all.

> Where do you even begin??

First try to establish what the problem is. Start with tests performed by good labs. Genova labs seems pretty good. Or alternatively you do some of these things (if you don't have the time/money for testing) and see if you feel better afterwards.

Good luck!
