Re: WHY dmsa

Thanks very much for all your replies.

Ive had my Amalgams removed 2 months ago, and have just been to a Clinic which specilizes in Mercury Poisoning and Candida.
quoted from Andys website

"How long to wait after Amalgam replacement before chelating:
for DMSA: at least 4 days
for ALA: at least 3 months. ALA has specific risks because it crosses the blood-brain-barrier."

They have started me off on DMSA chelation for 7 weeks. It starts off slow like one tablet a week, but then builds up to 2/3 a week towards the end. They have not mentioned anything about ALA, should i look into this, or wait till the end of the 7 weeks.

Also i had an elevated level of mercury in my blood 14mg, after how long of taking DMSA am i likely to notice any improvements ?
