Chronic constipation is sometimes a sign of things going on inside that we may not readily link to diet exercise, etc. namely unresolved feelings or emotions. These may or may not (at all) be some of the things keeping your bowels on lock: Constantly fretting, unwilling to release old feelings and beliefs, blocking what you want to say, unresolved problems, fear of displeasing a loved one, not being open about what you really feel, holding back. None of these feelings have been proven (of course) to exactly relate to constipation but thinking about what things on a day to day basis affect you physically (even in the smallest way) can help. Try to resolve ANY problem, no matter how minute. I could really write an essay on my opinion but it would be too much to read. :)
