Since my tests were not right, see above, it probably still worked.
I had bought a distiller but it did not work for me since I did not like the noise or the heavy container I had to carry, besides I did not want it in my kitchen, so all this had nothing to do with the water.
We bought distilled water when we were in Florida since we had water there with fluoride and chlorine, but this winter I am planning to take my prill with me.
I have to read up on it but I understand that the chlorine will evaporate when I leave the cover open.
