Re: That is awesome, excellent news!
It's funny, I have also read that bitterness is often associated with arthritis.
I know what you mean about stiff-minded folks...I know a lot of people who are completely closed off to doing anything holistic....they are more apt to swallow a handful of pills that they KNOW cause organ damage than to try the S-I-M-P-L-I-S-T health protocol just to SEE if it makes them feel better. A good part of that is what has been programmed into their heads for many years through media and doctors, though. I am not sure what the other part is, exactly. I have never been chronically ill so I hate to imagine what kind of damage it can do to a person emotionally and mentally. Especially when one has spent years battling something painful and only slipped further and further into illness. I think it changes people -- pain. I have seen many strong, good people forced into (victim) roles I know they hate themselves. There are always others who seem to revel in it (the attention), but for many I think it almost becomes such a (victim) lifestyle they have forgotten how to be healthy THINKING about things...
maybe they have just become weary of fighting it.
Speaking of which, aren't the drug commercials getting extremely creepy? The ones that I find particularly offensive are the ones that start out in a horrible first person manner like this:
"Yes, you're
Rheumatoid Arthritis is acting up again today...you try to ignore it but it is just so painful you can hardly bear it...you never thought this would happen to YOU..."
It is almost as if they are trying to plant in people's mind "YOU ARE SICK. YOU NEED DRUGS." by using these creepy first person ads that force you to identify with the illness. Some of them even start out as grossly blatant as, "So you have cancer...."
UGH!
I really think these are evil! Both in intent and effect. I always immediately switch the channel, it is like someone trying to curse you. Horrible.
