I quit the patch after a few days, but I am sure it really really helped with the transition period of quitting cigarettes. Good for you if you can do it without anything, but if you find yourself using excuses to have another cig, the patch might show you the truth.

Quitting cigs has had a few side benefits for me :
- dreams for one thing... I thought the patches were doing it, but nope.
- sex, for another [much "stronger" now].
- addiction to other things is all very much strengthened by the #1 addictive substance on earth - nicotine. It is a very nefarious drug, and it makes you love it, but it is not a good thing... and the tars etc from cigs sure add up to harming the lungs and body.
