Re: Out of curiosity...survey...
What an interesting post. Thanks Ketchup.
It was great to hear about what you went through each time. Your story of the first occurrence is so interesting. It must have been so hard having something no one's heard of. I was so interested to read how you used to "...make mountains out of molehills and fuss and be scared of things I wouldn't even notice when healthy." I swear I could have written that. That's exactly how I feel when my Candida is bad.
Lately I too have been thinking that time is the biggest factor in recovering. I could be wrong, I know, but for me at least it seems like it could be the case. And of course I am further away (time-wise) from the stress that I think brought this all on (for the 2nd time).
Also, the first time I had Candida it went away without my doing anything special - except taking probiotics once in awhile and I think a doctor gave me some Nystatin once or twice. But it was nothing thorough by any means. I just got better over time and one day I realized "that strange thing I had" was gone. It was back around 2000 and I couldn't find a lot of info on Candida.
Thanks!
