Re: Out of curiosity...survey...
Now that you mention it, I'm a very Type A personality. Maybe if I could learn to destress and be more relaxed, calm and happy, it could help with my healing.
Another thing, while I was pregnant, I had Candida overgrowth and didn't know it. I had a vaginal yeast infection and was very tired, and on
Antibiotics , I just thought the yeast infection was a normal part of pregnancy and kind of ignored it, because it wasn't too troublesome. I had a tremendously long and stressful labor, it went on and on, and I was in severe pain and was sleep deprived, even after the baby was born, and it was hard taking care of a new baby, when I had about 5 hours total of sleep in four days! About four days after giving birth, I got oral thrush, cracks on both my feet near the toes (athlete's foot), a horrible yeast infection and I could even feel it in the urethra (I was catheterized in the hospital, I think that contributed). It was a very stressful time and the Candida outbreak coincided perfectly with the stress I went through of having a baby and having been stressed and pushed to the limits with severe fatigue and stress. The long and short of this story and the point is that any kind of stress can give the yeast a chance to thrive, and one of our best defenses is to get plenty of rest and try to avoid stress (not that I could avoid giving birth, but you get my point). Never let yourself get sleep deprived.
Good thinking about this post!
