Anyway, I'm not sure that animals used for food who are "cared for properly" are parasite free.

(And I would also suggest that before you proclaim that others should be prosecuted and have their kids taken away from them for a fairly mainstream (accepted by the American and Canadian Dietetic Associations) dietary practice (veganism), you should look at your own practices which are steeped in illegality and controversy (raw milk/meat)).
