At one time, Ozelle Pharmaceuticals had a very lucrative agreement on the table from a very large and well known pharmaceutical company. Internal bickering and power struggles within Ozelle killed the deal. Ultimately, Ozelle's internal problems led to a loss of investors and essentially the demise of Ozelle, although it contends that it is still a viable company.
In the meanwhile, the only manufacturer of Anvirzel is Salud Integral in Honduras, which is connected to a competitor of Ozelle's, Phoenix Biotech, which was formed by disgruntled investors in Ozelle. Although Phoenix obtained permission to manufacter Anvirzel from Ozelle and has legal agreements to that effect, the latest version of who is in power at the shell that remains of Ozelle claims otherwise (though they dare take no actions against Phoenix). It is this twisted web as well as the concerns over a patent challenge that keeps Big Pharma at bay.
Phoenix is currently working on the imminent release of a more strongly patented extract of oleander in pill form - one that retains all of the synergistic compounds in the aqueous solution. Personally, I doubt that we will ever see the pill on the market because it is being developed in the hopes that Big Pharma will buy them out and pick up the hundreds of millions of dollar tab it will take to bring it to market. Now, THAT may very well happen, but what will not likely happen will be a version of the pill making it to market that is nearly as effective as what Phoenix has, Cancer is a $400 billion dollar a year industry and too many well heeled companies, as well as government and public agencies depend on maintaining the status quo (including the ACS, the world's least charitable non-profit organization which backs the mainstream a vengence): a smoke and mirrors game that announces imminent breakthroughs every year and trots out twisted statistics indicating progress while the war on cancer is being won even less effectively than the war in Vietnam and the present wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
You can believe or buy what you want and make all the conjecture you want when it comes to oleander, though you are really wasting your time to debate me on the subject - particularly in a support forum. I have done the actual research on Anvirzel and oleander and I KNOW what I am talking about - and I might add that I see no need to repeat the research or re-write the book here in this support forum.
You are right, big pharma is not the cause of ALL of our health problems but they are part of the four horsemen of the modern health apocalypse: medicine, food, government and industry. Follow the money and you will find greed and corruption that chooses profits over our health in every instance.
Big pharma has long mined nature and our dwindling rain forests, and a very great percentage of our patented medicines are based on natural substances; however, you can rest assured that anything Big Pharma finds that actually cures anything will never make it to market, just as we have seen essentially no real cures make it to market in the past half century. When your only marketplace is the human body, cures and natural inexpensive competition do not allow for maintaining and increasing profits - and big pharma is on of the very top profit makers year in and year out.
No, what you will see from any Big Pharma "discovery" in nature is the same as we have always seen: a weakened down synthetic or patentable isolate which, in addition to enabling them to use their watchdogs at the FDA to go after and suppress the superior natural product, will only manage symptoms and have side effects that lead to conditions requiring more prescribed medications to manage those symptoms, and the additional medications will then have their own side effects singly and in combination that lead to still more medications in a never ending cycle that is wonderful for profits but horrible for humanity. By the time an average male reaches the age of 65 he takes an average of 15 prescribed and over the counter medications daily . . . when it all began with one or two conditions that could have been treated naturally. Maybe even with Essaic.
