Re: New Constitutional amendment? Parental Rights
This is an incredibly alarming turn of events.
I was aware of the move in California to legislate
teaching sexuality as if anything goes, and I knew
that the government wanted to inactivate many of
the rights we were raised on and were using to
raise our own children but this, this goes over
the cliff and defies all sense in the world I
thought I lived in. It is changing so fast, that
in the minutes it took to read your post, it became
as a blur as it was flushing out of sight.
I can only hope and pray that enough people are
successful in stemming this effort to destroy
the fabric of American life and replace it with
something I do not recognize.
I am clinging to my moral compass and I do not
care how loudly and forcefully someone tries to
tell me that wrong is right, I refuse to believe
it. Thankfully, my child is an adult. I also feel
that these kind of issues are best dealt with
within a structure of community values and with
family values. Of course, now schools can mandate
that a child be medicated and so with an underlying
agenda of controlling the populace, using drugs
and sex to manipulate the young is effective but
also very destructive. What does the child have
when the state takes them from the family who loves
them enough to say behaviors are inappropriate.
There is so much wrong with this picture, one can
only hope that folks wake up before this nightmare
becomes a reality.
I wish you luck with your own efforts to facilitate
change. I cannot get away or certainly I would join
you on this one....
best wishes & hugs,
Zoe
