I weaned myself off of cigs nearly 30 years ago. I kept taking 1 less cig each day. I forcefully paced myself. Finally I got down to 3 a day and berated myself for such nonsense. I can be pretty mean to myself sometimes. It worked though. I did want one, when my friends were smoking; but I refused to give in.
I hear that acupuncture is really the best method to quit. Not hypnosis or the patch.
