Re: deviations from the MC

Morbid...ggg...

I begin the day after my daughter's birthday. We have a wine-toasting tradition I felt important enough to put the fast off a month. I have one more Liver Flush next week and then voila...I am on my journey to where I left off in the fall. I do not know how I will do it. It is such a private notion I suppose when you experiment with something which is so written in stone in some aspects. Fortunately, there is this forum where I can legitimately post if anything exciting works its way out!

I think doing 2 SWFs is too much of a burden on one's system.
I would be concerned with getting enough nutrition when you are flushing everything out twice a day. This cleanse, I am going to experiment in getting more nutrition in, in a way which will not violate the spirit of the Master Cleanse, but which also takes me to a deeper level and with an understanding that much research has provided.

I think the payoff in The Master Cleanse for me was the improved digestion and elimination and having my cravings *reset button* pushed so-to-speak. Those benefits make it easier to bring many things into balance and so I did lose weight but did not obsess with it so most stayed off.

If you want to enhance your cleanse now, you cant go wrong skin-brushing. I brush 9 or more days out of ten which is how strong the habit is and what a difference it made which I am working to reinforce. It moves toxins using the lymph system...

For this cleanse I am going to try using these things:

I was recently given over 50 flower essences, and I also have some specific tinctures I will use. Perhaps 1 a day to see if any one floats my boat?...ggg

I plan on using Essiac tea which supports the liver and at the same time rebuilds the blood. Some olive leaf tincture will be high on my list.

What I have done already to keep myself focused is to make a 10 day chart with enough copies to support a 40 day cleanse. I put all my options and things to remember on a list. I have practised doing this already so am comfortable with it.
I am a visual person so this method appeals to me and will keep me competing with myself to keep up the demands I have set forth for myself. I found when I practised using the list that in the evening I would see things I had forgotten such as drinking an herbal tea or not getting in enough drinks or even checking off an Epsom Salt bath and body brushing contributed to my sense of having a focused task.

I will also use a calender which is why I am beginning the first of the month (June). I will enjoy watching my smiley faces accumulate and the little checks on my list mount up.

This of course is all in the spirit of experimentation so we'll see. I hope to go in a spiritual direction in this cleanse and see if drinking herbal teas like Chief's Delight, a mixture made by American Indians of this fantastic blend of herbs which bring clarity make any difference in the cleanse. That sort of stuff, including some of MH's BF&C tea. I have a knee injury I am working to heal and it would be a perfect time to focus on that with poultices, the Bone/Flesh & Cartilage tea, castor and peanut oil packs. I will still much be following the main format of our traditional Master Cleanse but with extras. I will save my B&P shakes for afterward since they really did an outstanding job I thought of "mopping up" in my system after my Liver Flushing post-cleanse.

Anyway, thank you for indulging my post which is more about forcing myself to take this commitment by the horns and ride...ggg

blessings,
Zoe
