I'm on the 5th day of my second Master-Cleanse
(the first for 10 days, by the book) and I'm deviating slightly from the protocol, too, as I've intuited my body's state and 'cause it keeps me going where otherwise I might quit before I got the full benefit of the fast. I love flower essences and they seem particularly effective while fasting- focusing intent. I'm taking trace mineral drops in water- the concentrated Salt Lake water- as I was experiencing dull leg pains at night that felt like minerals being leached from my bones. They also seem to help me not get spacey when its been too long between lemonades. Also I've been making a pot of strong tea of dried nettles and/or alfalfa everyday to drink, for minerals and greenness. Plus I'm open to the idea, if I desire to later on in the fast,of having some vegetable juice once a day. My goal is 16-31 days-(a wide range, yes, but I figure I'll know when its done when its done), and I'd like to see to that without harming my body- a sort of "do what it takes"
approach. Meanwhile I watch the figs on the tree in my backyard grow; when they're good and ripe I'll break my fast gleefully on them.
Oh, also, because the lemonade is so acidic on one's teeth, after each glass I rinse my mouth with some white oak bark tea (I keep a jar of it in the fridge)- its the best thing for teeth.
